Read the following article: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/how-anne-franks-diary-changed-the-world-180957215/
We are living through a MAJOR event in our World's history. What you are thinking, feeling, worrying about, dreaming about, and doing to pass the time will be a topic of conversation for YEARS to come. Your grandchildren will hang on every word when you tell them stories of the time the World came together to help solve the pandemic of 2020.
Instructions - Keep a journal. I don't care how long or short you make it. Some days you could be inspired to write a long description of your day, some days you may be inspired to explore a story that has been brewing in your mind, and some days you may be inspired to draw a picture or create something more abstract. But keep it every day or at least, every other day. Keep it online, or keep it in a book and take a picture and email it to me. I want you to be HONEST so you only have to share with me the entries you are ok sharing with me. Here are some things to consider when thinking "WHAT am I going to write about?":
How do you feel about the current situation?
Inspirational videos you see online
Family
Hopes
What you miss most/least about school
What you are teaching yourself now that you have time (instrument, song, sport, etc.)
Daily activities
Creative solutions that have come out of the shelter in place order
ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING YOU ARE INSPIRED TO WRITE ABOUT!!!
Continue to circle back and reflect on your writing. Read other blogs and try to mimick their style. Experiment with the way your paper is structured and the voice of your paper.
REACH OUT IF YOU NEED HELP, WANT TO SHARE YOUR WORK, WANT TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS!!!! apatton@antietamsd.org
Be safe! Stay home!
